At 8:OOPM President John Rasmussen called the council meeting to order.

Members present were: Dawn Hrncir, Sue Fischer, Julie Nelson, Yvonne Hippen, Vickie Schaunaman, Michelle Nelson, Richard Aas, Fred Suurmeyer, Jeff Gregg, Pat Stickland, Dave Staub, Lyle Wolf, John Rasmussen. Also present: Pastor Ronald Brugger.

MSC Julie Nelson/Lyle Wolf to ratify agenda.
MSC Jeff Gregg/Dave Staub to approve May 2, 2006 minutes as printed.
MSC Fred Suurmeyer/Yvonne Hippen to approve Treasurer report as printed.

Reports: Pastor Brugger has completed continuing Education at Moorhead, Confirmation Classes concluded for the year. Was in attendance at Synod Assembly beginning of June. Pastor Ron will be on vacation in July including weekends of July 8 and 9, 15 and 16.

Pastor Clara Wadsworth is on vacation.

Property and Management:
Parsonage lawn seeded. (Thanks to all those that helped Fred). New outside water faucets have been installed on the church building. Old hot water has been discarded due to build up of sediment in tank. Information presented on an alarm system (temperature sensor) for the furnace room. MS Dave Staub/Vickie Schaunaman to install a sensor system in the building for $379.56
Motion failed. MSC Dave Staub/Jeff Gregg to table sensor system for building.
Cemeteries are all being mowed. Information presented on painting the fellowship hall and replacing the sidewalk on the south side of the building.
Stewardship: Plans continued to be made for the fall stewardship emphasis. October 8 has been set for consecration Sunday preceded by 3 temple talks/dramas on preceding Sundays.

Congregational Life: No report.
Parish Education and Youth:
VBS plans are continuing with fund raising. Materials have been ordered.

Old Business:

• Replacement of sidewalk drain grates was discussed. Consensus to check with Deutsch Construction to see what they recommend.

New Business:

• Use of facilities requests: MSC Jeff Gregg/Sue Fischer to approve the following requests: Wedding July 22, 2006 at 5:00pm for Jennifer Kallstrom; June 17, 2006 Baby shower for Michaela Just; and June 14 at 9:30am for Christian Women in the fellowship hall.
• Web site for Grace Lutheran Church. Council consensus to seek a person knowledgeable and willing to make a web page.
• 50"' Anniversary of Grace Lutheran Church: October 1957-October 2007. MSC Julie Nelson/Pat Stickland to set date of October 7, 2007 for celebration/worship of Grace Lutheran Church.
• Information presented on March against Meth. Event to be held on June 29, 2006. Request was received asking for our help in the march and writing letters.

Meeting closed with the Lord's Prayer.
